지난 3월, 몇 개월간의 타지 생활을 마무리하고 드디어 싱가포르 집으로 돌아왔습니다. 싱가포르로 돌아오며 이용했던 대한항공 KE643편 프레스티지석 기내식을 공유하려 합니다. 해당 비행 편으로 저와 4살의 어린아이가 함께 탑승했고, 아이는 사전에 아동식을 신청하여 일반식 대신 아동식을 이용했네요.
In March, after several months of living abroad, Me and my boy finally returned to home in Singapore. I would like to share my experience with the in-flight meal in the Korean Air Prestige Class on flight KE643. On this particular flight, my 4-year-old child and I were traveling together, and my child had requested a children's meal in advance, which was provided instead of the regular meal.

가까운 것 같지만, 실제로 인천에서 싱가포르는 6시간 정도 소요되는 생각보다(?!) 먼 거리랍니다.
Although it may seem close, the actual distance from Incheon to Singapore is quite far from korea. It takes about 6 hours, which is longer than expected.
체크인 & 탑승 / Check-in & Boarding
프레스티지석은 전용 체크인 카운터와 탑승 라인을 이용할수 있습니다. 저희는 아침 7시 김해에서 인천으로 오는 내항기를 이용하여 아침 일찍 인천공항에 도착하였고요. 내항기를 이용할 경우, 인천공항에서 출국장 바깥으로 나갈 수 없다 보니 라운지에서 아이와 함께 시간을 보낸 후 싱가포르행 비행기에 탑승했습니다.
Prestige Class passengers have access to dedicated check-in counters and boarding lines. We arrived at Incheon Airport early in the morning after taking a domestic flight from Gimhae. As we couldn't leave the departure area at Incheon Airport for international flights, we spent time in the lounge with my kid before boarding the flight to Singapore.
이제는 여행갈때마다 "엄마 내 트렁크 꺼내줘"하고선 트렁크 가득 본인의 장난감을 넣고, 꼭 직접 챙겨다니는 4살 형아네요. 싱가포르로 돌아올 때도 얼마나 소중한지 포켓몬스터 이브이가방에 포페트롤 트렁크까지 손수 들고 비행기에 탔답니다. 이럴 때 보면 참 많이 컸다 싶어요.
Nowadays, whenever we travel, my 4-year son insists on carrying his own trunk full of toys. When we returned to Singapore, he even brought his Pokémon Eevee bag with Paw Patrol lugguage all by himself. It's moments like these that make me realize how much he has grown.

해외 출입국자를 위한 내항선(국내선) 스케쥴
- 김해공항 ⇒ 인천공항: KE1402편 07:00 출발 - 08:10 도착 / KE1408편 15:25 출발 - 16:35 도착
- 인천공항 ⇒ 김해공항: KE1401편 09:30 출발 - 10:35 도착 / KE1407편 18:45 출발 - 19:50 도착
- 대구공항 ⇒ 인천공항: KE1432편 07:10 출발 - 08:15 도착
- 인천공항 ⇒ 대구공항: KE1433편 19:35 출발 - 20:35 도착
해당 스케줄은 '23년 5월 13일 기준으로 변경될 수 있습니다.
내항선을 이용하시는 분들 환승 방법
- 출발지가 김해/대구 인 경우, 김해/대구공항에서 출국심사를 마쳤으므로 인천공항에서 출국장 밖으로 나가실수 없습니다.
- 해외에서 출발하여 최종 목적지가 김해/대구 인 경우, 인천공항에서 세관통과 및 출국장 밖으로 나가시면 다시 들어오실 수 없음에 따라 내항선을 이용하실 수 없습니다. 해외발 항공기에서 내려 해외 환승과 동일하게 "환승"게이트를 이용하여 내항선을 이용하셔야 합니다.
Domestic flight schedules for international travelers:
- Gimhae to Incheon : KE1402 departs at 07:00 and arrives at 08:10 / KE1408 departs at 15:25 and arrives at 16:35
- Incheon to Gimhae : KE1401 departs at 09:30 and arrives at 10:35 / KE1407 departs at 18:45 and arrives at 19:50
- Daegu to Incheon : KE1432 departs at 07:10 and arrives at 08:15
- Incheon to Daegu : KE1433 departs at 19:35 and arrives at 20:35
Please note that these schedules are based on May 13, 2023, and are subject to change.
For those using domestic flights, the transfer process is as follows:
- If your departure point is Gimhae/Daegu, as you have completed the departure inspection at Gimhae/Daegu Airport, you cannot exit the departure area at Incheon Airport.
- If you depart from overseas and your final destination is Gimhae or Daegu, you cannot use domestic flights as you cannot re-enter after going through customs and leaving the departure area at Incheon Airport. In this case, you must use the domestic flights via the "transfer" gate, just like for international transfers.
기내 / Onboard
저희가 탑승했던 KE643편은 보잉 777-300ER 기종을 이용하였습니다. 확실히 요일에 따라 매일 2~3회 운항되다 보니 작은 항공기를 이용하였습니다.
The flight KE643 that we boarded was operated using the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft model. Since it operates 2 to 3 times daily depending on the day of the week, a smaller aircraft was used.
아이와 함께 여행할 때는 항상 베시넷좌석을 선택하는 편인데요. 이제는 아이가 크니까 굳이 가장 앞자리에 앉을 필요가 없겠더라고요. 오히려 뒤쪽 자리들처럼 별도의 수납함도 앞쪽에 없고, 개인 VOD도 볼 때마다 따로 꺼내서 봐야 하다 보니 훨씬 불편하네요.
When traveling with my child, we always prefer to choose bassinet seats. However, now that my child has grown up, I realize that there is no need to sit in the front row. In fact, the seats towards the back have their advantages, such as having additional storage compartments and not having to take out the personal VOD device every time I want to watch something. It is much more inconvenient this way.
지난번에도 느꼈던 부분입니다만, 싱가포르 출도착 프레스티지석을 탈 때마다 실망스러운 점은 6시간이 넘는 운항시간에도 별도 파우치 없이 슬리퍼도 얇은 기본 슬리퍼와 헤드셋만 제공되었습니다. 별도 요청드려보지는 않았지만, 코로나 이후 많은 부분에서 비용 감축을 한다는 뉴스는 보았지만 기내식과 넓은 좌석 이외의 별도 서비스는 운영되지 않고 있었습니다.
One thing I noticed during my previous trips, especially when flying in the Prestige Class on Singapore, is that I was disappointed with the lack of amenities for flights lasting over 6 hours. There were no separate pouches or thicker slippers provided, only the basic thin slippers and headset. I have seen news about cost-cutting measures implemented in many areas after the COVID-19 pandemic:(
싱가포르로 돌아오는 비행기에선 키즈탑승기프트가 변경되었더라고요. 기존의 얇은 종이책 대신에 뽀로로 워터북으로 변경되었습니다.
On the flight back to Singapore, the kids' inflight gift was changed. Instead of the thin paper book, it was replaced with a Pororo water book.
기내식 / In-flight Meal
싱가포르행은 탑승 시간에 따라 1회의 식사와 간단한 간식이 제공됩니다.
On flights to Singapore, depending on the boarding time, one main meal and a light snack will be provided.
하늘에서 먹는 와인은 더 빨리 취하지만 더 달콤한 편이라 저는 기내식 먹을 때 꼭 마시는 편입니다. 전체요리로 나온 가리비와 모든 식사를 다 하고 나온 하겐다즈 아이스크림과 커피 한잔까지.
참, 하겐다즈 아이스크림은 일반식에만 포함되고, 키즈밀에는 포함되지 않습니다. 저희는 다행히 여유분이 있다고 하시며, 아이와 저까지 함께 챙겨주셨습니다.
I prefer to drink wine when having in-flight meals as it tends to be sweeter but gets you drunk faster. I always request to have a glass of wine with the full course meal.
By the way, the Häagen-dazs ice cream is only included in the regular meal service and not in the kids meal. Fortunately, the flight attendant had extra ones and kindly provided them for both me and my boy.
풀을 좋아하는 저는 샐러드라면 뭐든지 굿:) 함께 제공된 그릭 레몬 드레싱이 상큼하게 아주 맛있었고요.
한 끼 거하게 먹은 스테이크 한상차림. 그중 매쉬드 포테이토와 브로콜리수프는 정말 수준급으로 맛있었습니다. 스테이크도 미듐으로 요청드렸는데 적당히 잘 구워주셔서 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다.
I love vegetables, so I always enjoy salads :) The Greek lemon dressing that came with it was refreshing and delicious.
For one meal, I had a steak. Especially, the mashed potatoes and broccoli soup were really good. And I requested my steak to be cooked medium, and they cooked it just right, so I enjoyed it very much.
키즈밀은 프레스티지석과 이코노미석은 음식이 같았습니다. 달콤한 바비큐 치킨을 아이가 좋아했지만, 생각보다 많이 먹지 않고, 엄마한테 나온 브로콜리수프가 정말 일품이라네요. 별도로 요청드려 수프는 한 그릇 뚝딱! 했답니다.
The kids' meals were the same in both Prestige Class and Economy Class. He enjoyed the sweet barbecue chicken, but didn't eat as much as expected. However, a kid really loved the broccoli soup that was served to me. Then I asked the flight attendant for extra soup, and he ended up having a lot of it.

비행기에서 내리기 전 간식도 키즈밀은 다르게 제공되었습니다. 저희가 별도 메뉴를 선택하는 것은 없었으며, 샌드위치, 과일 조금, 컵케이크, 스낵류 등이 제공되었습니다. 맛은 크로와상 계란 샌드위치가 맛있었는데 저희 아이는 타자마자 먹었던 수프가 소화가 안되는지 잘 안 먹더라고요. 샌드위치를 제외한 포장된 상품들은 집까지 잘 챙겨서 가져왔답니다.
On the flight, the kids' meal was also provided differently for the snack before landing. We didn't have a separate menu to choose from, but we were given a sandwich, a little fruit, a cupcake, and some snacks. The croissant egg sandwich was delicious, but our child didn't eat well, maybe because the soup he had immediately before didn't digest well. We brought the packaged items home, except for the sandwich.
그리고 저한테 나온 치킨샌드위치. 건강하게 삶은 닭가슴살이 들어가서 그런지 저는 살짝 비린맛 때문에 잘 못 먹겠더라고요. 샌드위치는 살짝 아쉬웠답니다^^;
And the chicken sandwich that I received had boiled chicken breast in it, which was supposed to be healthy, but I couldn't eat it well because of its slightly sour taste. I was a little disappointed with the sandwich. ^^;
기타 / Miscellaneous
6개월 전 비행기에 타서는 "엄마 싱가포르가 보고 싶으면 어쩌지? 친구들이 보고싶으면 어쩌지?" 했던 꼬맹이가 돌아올 때는 많이 컸네요. 한참 동안 바깥을 쳐다보더니 "엄마 싱가포르에 돌아와서 너무 좋아" 하네요.
When we boarded the flight 6 months ago, my little one was saying, "What if I miss Singapore? What if I miss my friends?" But now, coming back, he has grown so much. After staring outside for a while, he said, "Mom, I'm so happy to be back in Singapore."
그리고 저희는 6개월 만에 드디어 집으로 돌아왔어요. 싱가포르는 역시 야경이 아름다운 나라죠. 공항에서 집으로 가는 길에 항상 보이는 마리나베이는 언제 봐도 참 아름답네요.
And finally, we have returned home after 6 months. Singapore is truly a country with beautiful night views. Marina Bay, which is always visible on the way from the airport to home, is always so beautiful.
코비드 이후 처음 한국에 갈 때도 느꼈던 부분이지만, 키즈 선물, 어메니티 부재 등 여러 부분에서 싱가포르와 미국행 비행기의 서비스가 많이 다른 점은 좀 많이 아쉬운 부분이었답니다.
As I felt when I first went to Korea after COVID, there were many aspects where the service of Singapore and US-bound flights was quite different, such as the absence of kids' gifts and amenities, which was quite disappointing.
