지난 4월 발리에서 싱가포르로 올 때 탑승한 에어아시아 항공편 탑승 후기입니다.
Here is a review of my AirAsia flight from Bali to Singapore that I took in April.

발리에서 싱가포르는 약 2시간 45분 정도 소요되며, 발리에서 싱가포르로 돌아오는 항공편은 하루에 2~3회 운항하고 있습니다. 저희는 호텔 체크아웃 후 점심도 먹고 구경 후 느지막이 공항에 가면 마지막날까지 알차게 보내겠다는 생각에 오후 5시 35분 비행기를 선택했답니다.
From Bali to Singapore, it takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and there are 2 to 3 flights per day from Bali to Singapore. After checking out of the hotel, we had lunch and did some sightseeing before heading to the airport in the late afternoon to make the most of our last day, so we chose the 5:35 pm flight.
체크인 & 탑승 / Check-in & Boarding
에어아시아는 최대한 도착 전 휴대폰 어플을 통해서 웹 체크인을 할 것을 추천하고 있는데요. 저희도 사전에 온라인을 통해 체크인과 기내식을 주문했습니다. 아무래도 기내식은 사전에 주문하면 좀 더 많은 메뉴와 조금 더 저렴한 가격으로 주문하실 수 있고요. 기내에서도 탑승하자마자 빠르게 기내식을 받을 수 있어 편리하답니다.
AirAsia recommends passengers to do web check-in through their mobile app before arrival, and we followed their recommendation. We also pre-ordered our in-flight meals online. Ordering meals in advance allows you to choose from a wider selection and often at a more affordable price. It's also convenient to receive your meal shortly after boarding.
웹체크인을 했지만, 실물 티켓을 받아야 한답니다. 에어아시아는 주로 키오스크를 이용하여 보딩패스를 받으실 수 있는데요. 키오스크에서 예약번호와 예약자의 last name을 작성하면, 예약한 동행자들까지 한 번에 티켓을 받을 수 있답니다. 티켓을 받고, 러기지택까지 함께 받아 수화물까지 보내면 탑승 준비 완료;)
Although we completed web check-in, we still needed to receive physical tickets. AirAsia provides kiosks for passengers to collect their boarding passes. By entering the booking number and the last name of the primary passenger at the kiosk, you can receive tickets for all passengers included in the reservation. Once you have the tickets and luggage tags, you're ready for boarding with your checked baggage.

에어아시아에서 수화물 보내실 분들은 꼭 무게 넉넉하게 온라인에서 사전에 구입하세요!
공항에서 당일 구입할 경우 온라인보다 30% 비싸고요. 사전에 발급받은 티켓을 기계에 찍으니 저희가 구입한 무게와 매칭되어, 구입한 무게보다 오버될 경우, 예외없이 추가 결제를 해야 합니다.
꼭! 수화물 보내실 분들 넉넉한 무게로 사전에 온라인으로 결제하세요.
For those who plan to check in luggage with AirAsia, it is highly recommended to purchase the baggage allowance online in advance with a generous weight allowance!
If you wait to purchase your baggage allowance at the airport, it will be 30% more expensive than online. When you print your ticket at the self check-in kiosk, it will match the weight you purchased online. If your luggage exceeds the weight limit you purchased, you will be required to pay for the extra weight without exception.
To avoid any inconvenience, make sure to purchase the baggage allowance online in advance with a sufficient weight allowance.
저희가 이용한 항공기는 게이트에서 떨어져 탑승을 해야 해서 버스를 타고 가서 탔어요. 주로 빨간 비행기의 에어아시아를 탔었는데, 이번에는 흰 비행기네요!!!! 함께 간 꼬맹이는 비행기를 이렇게 가까이서 보고 타는 게 처음이라 너무 신기하고 좋아했답니다.
We had to take a bus to reach the aircraft as it was parked away from the gate. We usually fly on AirAsia's red airplanes, but this time it was a white one! Our little one was excited because it was his first time seeing and boarding an airplane up close.
기내 / Onboard
해당 항공편은 에어버스 A320-200으로 운행되었어요. 좌석은 다른 저가항공들과 비슷한 너비였고, 기내는 좀 많이 낡은 느낌이네요. 싱가포르에서 이용가능한 저가항공들 중에서 항공편은 거의 가장 많은 항공사 중 하나인 것 같은데 에어아시아가 기내 좌석들은 가장 낡은 것 같아요. :(
The flight was operated by an Airbus A320-200. The seat width was similar to other low-cost airlines, and the cabin had a slightly worn-out feel. Among the low-cost airlines available in Singapore, AirAsia seems to have one of the largest number of flights. However, it appears that the seats on their aircraft are the most outdated. :(
기내식 / In-flight Meal
비행기에서 구입 가능한 기내식 메뉴입니다. 사전에 온라인에서 주문 가능한 상품들은 대부분 포함되어 있었지만, 가격은 조금 더 비싸네요.
Here are the in-flight meal options available for purchase on the plane. Most of the items that can be pre-ordered online were included, but the prices were slightly higher.
저희는 사전에 온라인을 통해 체크인할 때 기내식을 주문했습니다. 기내에서도 탑승하자마자 빠르게 기내식을 받을 수 있어 편리했답니다.
We ordered our in-flight meals online during the check-in process. It was convenient to receive the meals quickly after boarding the plane.
저희 가족은 1) 나시르막 2) 치킨라이스 3) 나시파당 이렇게 3종류의 메뉴를 주문했답니다. 기내식을 주문하면, 음식과 함께 작은 물도 함께 제공됩니다. 나시르막과 치킨라이스는 괜찮은 편이었고, 나시파당은 (저는 안 먹어봐서 저희 남편말에 의하면) 굳이 또 시켜 먹을 필요는 없을 것 같아요.
Our family ordered three types of meals: 1) Nasi Lemak, 2) Chicken Rice, and 3) Nasi Padang. When you order in-flight meals, a small bottle of water is provided along with the food. Nasi Lemak and Chicken Rice were decent, but as for Nasi Padang (I didn't try it myself, so according to my husband), there doesn't seem to be a need to order it again.

기타 / Miscellaneous
해 질 녘 탑승이다 보니 하늘에서 노을을 보는데 얼마나 예쁘던지. 구름도 뭉게뭉게 너무 좋았어요.
As we boarded during sunset, the view of the sky and the clouds was so beautiful.
총평 / Overall
에어아시아의 악평은 워낙 유명하잖아요. 환불을 안 해준다. CS가 별로다. 등등... 저는 오히려 생각보다 CS부분에서는 다른 저가항공사들보다 체계적이란 생각이 들어요. 이슈가 있을 때 연락을 하면 대부분의 경우 매뉴얼이 있는 느낌이랄까요..? 하지만, 항공기는 가장 낡았단 생각이 매번 들어서 좀 아쉽네요. 하지만, 비행 자체가 불편하거나, 연착이 되거나 하진 않아서 딱히 불편함은 없었던 비행이었답니다!
Overall, AirAsia has a bad reputation for not giving refunds, having poor customer service, and more. However, I actually found their customer service to be more systematic compared to other low-cost airlines. When there are issues, it feels like they have a manual for it. However, it's a bit disappointing that the planes themselves seem to be the oldest among the low-cost airlines. Nonetheless, the flight itself was comfortable, without any inconvenience such as discomfort or delayed flights.
